The focus is on social tennis and just having fun. With tennis being a life-long sport, these meetups are a way for players in the community to meet others in a fun and informal, but still competitive, playing environment.
Winter 2021 Current Scheduled Meetups: This is what’s happening now, with occasional pop-up events:
- Wednesday afternoon, 4:00pm at Richland Park-Open Level 4:00pm host: Ibrahim.
- Saturday morning, 10:00am at Glencliff, level 3.5-4.5, host Greg.
- Saturday morning, 9:00am at Hillwood HS, level 3.5-4.5, host Stuart.
- Sunday morning, 10:00am at Richland Park, Open level, host: Gabriel and Ibrahim.
- Sunday afternoon, 12:00pm at Glencliffe HS, level 4.0+, host: Ken G.
Many of the group members also belong to the USTA and other tennis organizations. In fact, some team captains find that NTM is a good recruiting area to find new team members!
TNM encourages active participation from all members to keep the group alive and growing. To join, all someone has to do is visit the website and sign-up. There is no cost to join. Members receive regular notices of scheduled meetups by email, as well as seeing them posted on the website.
All TNM members also have new MeetUp event scheduling privileges, so if one of the scheduled meetups does not match up with the time you have available to play, you can schedule your own MeetUp at a convenient court location. Members can also post messages in the TNM discussion area, to see what other members are doing, and link up for a match.
If you want to find someone to play tennis with at your level, but do not have time for league play, Tennis Nashville MeetUp is a great way to stay active in the sport.
